South Carolina Writers Groups

To the uninitiated, Island Writers’ Network may sound like something based in the Carribean, but this is a South Carolina writer’s group that supports those in a variety of fields from novel writing to non-fiction.

The South Carolina Writers Workshop has chapters in a variety of locales including Aiken, Camden, Seneca, and Myrtle Beach just to name a few. Each chapter has its own unique focus, so be sure to double-check what genres and types of writing the chapter nearest you supports.

The Columbia Writers Alliance has been running since 2002, helping to serve as “a bridge between literature and the arts” according to the official site.

The South Carolina Center for the Book offers a monthly fiction writer’s group.

Writers of the South is a Facebook group that includes South Carolina in the list of states where writer members work and network.

LinkedIn members should have a look at the South Carolina writers section for networking purposes.
