The Glossary of Rhetorical Terms includes definitions and examples of terminology such as hyperbole, irony, oxymoron and paradox. There are also terms here that I have never heard of too, such as hendiadys and polysyndeton. I spent 20 minutes browsing this site and came out knowing far more than when I went it. I highly recommend at least a peek.
Great list! My favorite has always been synecdoche–the part denoting the whole. It’s a cool-sounding word and a slick conceptual way of painting an image.
