Newsworthy Charity: Paradox Sports

paradox

Newsworthy means that Outside Magazine gives you some glossy space in their well-known publication, and that is the case with Paradox Sports. This organization says that it “provides inspiration, opportunities and adaptive equipment to the disabled community, empowering their pursuit of a life of excellence through human-powered outdoor sports.”

It exists to give opportunity to those who have adaptive needs. It does this by giving them the chance to participate in alternative sports, such as surfing and ice-climbing. It seeks to empower those who have lost limbs, and does so by creating prosthetics that allow them to do everything from rock climbing to kayaking.

If you have the chance to write about this tremendous organization, don’t pass it up. Read more in the March 2009 issue of Outside, or visit the Pardox website for more information. It’s inspirational.
