I haven’t profiled a newsworthy charity in a while, but this is a really good one. The Safer Foundation is a Chicago-based organization that assists formerly incarcerated people in finding employment. They have been around for over 30 years and are doing their part to reduce the recidivism rate. There is such a great need for this type of help, and it is a great place to profile.
