The Southeastern Writers Association hosts an annual workshop, and some of the locations for this event have included Epworth-by-the-Sea, Emory College and Columbus College.

The Knoxville Writers Guild provides support for area writers and it meets the first Thursday of the month in the Laurel Theatre.

The Middle Tennessee Christian Writers group was founded in 2004 and they have monthly meetings for their members.

The Tennessee Mountain Writers group is based out of Oak Ridge, TN, and it is open to all writers.

Those looking for a good event to attend in the state might want to investigate the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, which has been serving writers for over two decades. They also have a blog.

The Mountain Heritage Literary Festival is held at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, and it features speakers and master classes for writers, among other things.
