Hawaii writers groups are a diverse bunch, and we’re happy to see such a thriving community of active writers banding together.  As we always say in each one of these writers groups by state pages, this collection of Hawaii writers groups is by no means complete. This is part of our ongoing project to list as many as possible.

Hawaii Writers Groups

Pacific Writers’ Connection is a non-profit Hawaii writing group for “nature and place writers, youth writing and reading programs to strengthen a network of global citizens.”

The Hawaii Island Writers Group is a fiction-oriented group with a monthly meeting. The website features work by group members across a variety of genres.

The Hawai’i Writing Project is a literacy-based educational support group for K-16 educators all across Hawaii.

The Hawaii Actors Group features an area especially for Hawaii-based screenwriters.

The National League of Pen Women Honolulu branch is a multi-disciplinary group that includes writers, artists and composers.

There are two writer’s meetup groups listed for Hawaii, including the Kapolei Fiction Writers Meetup and the The Righters: Writing for Justice group.
