Nevada Writers Groups
The Unnamed Writer’s Group is for writers in and around the Reno area. There’s a membership fee for this organization, which meets once per month.
Henderson Writers’ Group is a non-profit for Nevada writers of every skill level.
Oasis Writers is a membership-based group for writers in the Pahrump area. There’s a membership fee and this group seems to be oriented toward fiction writers, though the mission statement does include non-fiction support.
Journalists should check out the Nevada Press Association.
Writers of the Purple Sage is for writers in northern Nevada and northeast California.
The Nevada Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators has organizers in Reno and Carson City, but this group serves the entire Nevada region.
Ash Canyon Poets meets in Carson City every Friday night from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Brewery Arts Center at 449 Kiing St. 775-450-4953
