If you haven’t yet heard of The Old Farmer’s Almanac it’s worth a peek. The Almanac is North America’s oldest continuously published periodical and it has been around since 1792. Full of information about weather forecasts, cooking and planting charts, it has an old-fashioned, practical appeal that is always in style; plus it’s interesting! The website gives you a taste, but for the full version pick up the hard copy. You can find them all over. Great for background research and for sampling the flavor of Americana.
