What writer among us doesn’t have problems sitting up straight for endless hours, clacking away at the keyboard? Try a little trick that personal trainers use for their time at the desk: an exercise ball. Using an exercise ball as a chair helps make you sit up straight. It also keeps your postural muscles engaged, as you re-adjust slightly to stay on balance. Just make sure your table or desk is at the right height for this–you don’t want to wind up causing problems instead of alleviating them!
